Benue State Government Postpones Benue at 50 and Third Year Anniversary Celebrations

The Benue State Government under the leadership of Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has announced the postponement of all planned activities marking the Benue at 50 Celebration and the Third Year Anniversary of the present administration.

In a public statement released on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the government explained that the decision was taken to allow for necessary adjustments and wider consultations aimed at ensuring a more successful and inclusive commemoration.

A new date for the celebrations will be communicated to the public in due course.

The government regretted any inconvenience the postponement may have caused individuals, groups, and organisations, while appreciating the understanding, patience, and continued support of the good people of Benue State.
