In a significant political development ahead of the 2027 general elections, key community groups in the Turan axis of Kwande East have unanimously endorsed Hon. Easy Mfater Terhemba as their preferred candidate for the Kwande East state constituency seat.
The endorsement came from the group known as Kasev Mba Agbatatar Injorov in Turan, following extensive consultations and engagements with community leaders, stakeholders, and residents. Announcing their decision on January 24, 2026, the group described Hon. Terhemba as a credible, capable, and authentic son of the area who has maintained consistent and genuine relationships with the grassroots.
Community representatives emphasized that their choice was driven by Terhemba’s deep understanding of the developmental challenges facing Kwande East and his proven track record of staying connected to the people. They stressed the need for purposeful representation that would amplify the voice of the constituency and attract meaningful development projects, adding that Hon. Terhemba possesses the experience, commitment, and credibility required to meet those expectations.
Responding to the endorsement, Hon. Terhemba expressed deep gratitude for the confidence placed in him.
