A recent social media post by Ukan Kurugh has highlighted an achievement for Benue State under Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, claiming the state has emerged as number one in BudgIT’s Q3 2025 States Fiscal Transparency League Table (SFTL).

The post praises the administration for this milestone, attributing it to the presence of “technocrats in the system” as opposed to mere politicians. It emphasizes the difference such leadership makes in promoting fiscal transparency and accountability.

Kurugh further notes that the outlook for 2026 appears promising, with Benue effectively managing its microeconomic stability and recalibrating the economy through steady growth, infrastructure development, human capital investment, quality education, and improved healthcare delivery.

With Benue approaching its 50th anniversary in less than two months, the post calls on citizens to collaborate in building the Benue of their dreams, adding that “Benue is getting better under Alia and Alia is working.”

The claim is sourced to Dr. Raymond Asemakaha Jr., Managing Director of the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), and includes a reference to the official league table for more details.
