Right Honorable Dickson Tarkighir has congratulated beneficiaries of the 2025 Makurdi-Guma Empowerment Programme while announcing a brief halt in the distribution of items, with a firm commitment to resume fully on Monday, November 17, 2025. The lawmaker, known for his consistent people-centered initiatives, addressed the development in a statement issued on November 15 at 10:40 PM, emphasizing transparency and security in the process.
The temporary pause came after a last-minute venue change triggered logistical challenges, prompting Tarkighir to act on security advice. He directed that all remaining items be moved to a secure warehouse to ensure safety and proper coordination. Distribution is now scheduled to continue over the coming days, allowing ample time to reach every verified beneficiary.
Tarkighir reassured participants that they will be contacted using the same phone numbers provided earlier, stressing that no one will be excluded. “This is a minor adjustment to guarantee smooth and secure delivery,” he said, expressing gratitude to constituents for their patience and trust.
