Makurdi Family Pleads for Help as Beloved Miss Mercy Ameh Goes Missing in City

A family in Makurdi is in distress after an elderly woman, regarded as a mother figure by many, vanished on November 15, 2025, sparking widespread concern among relatives and neighbors. Miss Mercy Ameh raised the alarm, revealing that her big aunty—whom she considers her own mother—has been missing and may be wandering confusedly around different parts of the city.

The missing woman, an Igala by tribe, is multilingual and can communicate fluently in Igala, Idoma, English, Igbo, and Yoruba. Her ability to speak multiple languages has fueled fears that she might have interacted with strangers or sought help in unfamiliar areas, complicating efforts to trace her whereabouts.
