Benue Government Delegation Visits Aboajio and Bom Communities After Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Attack

A high-level delegation from the Benue State Government has visited the recently attacked communities of Aboajio and Bom in Mbat erem Local Government Area of Ukum in the state. The team, led by the Executive Secretary of the Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Sir James Aondoakaa Iorpuu PhD, and the Director-General of Homeland Security, Comando Jacob Gbamwuan, arrived in the area accompanied by security agencies for an on-the-ground assessment of the situation.

The visit comes as the community reels from the devastating attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen terrorists, which has left several lives lost and homes destroyed. The delegation’s presence is expected to bring renewed attention to the plight of the residents and to facilitate coordinated efforts in providing relief, security, and support to the affected families.
