A new round of political accusations has erupted in Benue State as claims surface that former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aondona Dajoh, allegedly diverted constituency project funds to construct a massive private hotel in Gboko.
The allegation was made by Aho ho Terungwa on social media, accompanied by several photographs of a large multi-storey building under construction. The post questioned the source of funding for the project, drawing public attention and reactions.
In response, Tivta Samuel Aondohemba fired back, highlighting that Governor Hyacinth Alia had previously commissioned a private hotel belonging to the current Speaker, Rt. Hon. Berger Alfred Emberga. The counter-post asked which of the two speakers had delivered more constituency projects to their people and invited public opinions on the matter.
The exchange has intensified the ongoing rivalry between the two political figures and their supporters. While Dajoh has been vocal in recent weeks about his removal as Speaker and various allegations against the state government, the latest claims have shifted focus to personal projects and accountability in the use of public resources.
As of now, neither Rt. Hon. Aondona Dajoh nor Rt. Hon. Berger Alfred Emberga has issued a direct official response to the latest accusations. The controversy continues to generate heated debates among Benue residents on social media.
