Agatu LG Hon. Ejeh Chairman Condoles with Victims of Recent Attacks, Commends Governor Alia and Security Agencies

The Executive Chairman of Agatu Local Government Area, Hon. Ejeh, has expressed deep sorrow over the recent attacks on Egwuma and Ogbai communities, describing the incidents as a tragic loss for the entire Agatu land.

In a statement, Hon. Ejeh extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the affected communities. He praised the swift response of security personnel from Operation Whirl Stroke, the Nigeria Police Force, Civil Defence Corps, and Operation Anyam Nyor, noting that their professionalism prevented what could have been a more devastating situation.

The Chairman commended Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for his commitment to fighting criminality and ensuring peace in Agatu and Benue State. He called on the youth to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and proactive in sharing intelligence, especially given the challenging swampy terrain and poor road network that make the area vulnerable.
