The First Lady of Buruku Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Dorothy Anadoo Zege, has interfaced with members of the Alia Generation Mothers in Buruku, demonstrating her commitment to women’s welfare and inclusive governance.
During the engagement, Mrs. Anadoo Zege distributed APC wrappers and sanitary pads across the thirteen council wards of Buruku to support girl children and women in maintaining adequate hygiene during menstrual periods.
Speaking at the event, the Buruku First Lady emphasized the need to build a symbiotic relationship between leaders and the people by listening to their challenges and providing solutions where possible. She expressed appreciation for the unwavering support given to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Raymond Zege Aondoakura, describing him as a dedicated servant working tirelessly for the development of the area.
In response, women leaders including Mrs. Grace Iorkohol, Mrs. Christiana Ngohemba Atsuku, and Monica Dooga commended the Chairman for his sacrifices and service to the people. They also solicited support for fertilizers and other farming inputs to enhance agricultural productivity in the local government.
The initiative has been hailed as a positive step towards empowering women and addressing their practical needs in Buruku.
