The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Chief Dr. Benjamin Omale, has inaugurated the State Chapter of the City Boys Movement Women Wing, charging members to uphold transparency, accountability, and integrity in leadership.

The inauguration ceremony took place on Monday, April 20, 2026. Speaking at the event, Omale described the women wing as a critical vehicle for grassroots mobilisation and empowerment. He commended the unity and resilience of women within the party structure and urged the newly inaugurated executives to take the message of government closer to the people, particularly at the community level.

Omale stressed the need for purposeful engagement in markets, homes, and local networks. “The APC will continue to support and work with you. Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has good intentions towards women empowerment in the state. Bring more women into the party, and the party will stand with you at all times,” he said.

In her welcome address, the State Women Coordinator of the movement, Hon. Mrs. Comfort Briggs Lokpobiri, said the event marked the beginning of a purposeful structure rather than a routine inauguration. “Today, we are not just forming a structure; we are building a movement of purpose,” she stated.
