Suspended Kwande LG Chairman Vitalis Terhile Neji Hands Over to Deputy Rita Nguungwan Iortsor

The suspended Chairman of Kwande Local Government Council, Hon. Vitalis Terhile Neji, on Monday officially handed over to the Deputy Chairman and Acting Chairman, Hon. Rita Nguungwan Iortsor.

Neji, who was dressed with a “Yes Father” necklace among other items, presented the keys to the official car of the local government chairman to the Acting Chairman. Iortsor will oversee the affairs of the local government for the next three months.

The handover follows Neji’s suspension by the Benue State House of Assembly over allegations of gross misconduct and abuse of office. The Assembly directed the deputy chairman to take charge pending the outcome of further investigations.
