Family Raises Alarm Over Disappearance of Imoter Barnabas Terkaa, Suspected Kidnapped on Lagos-Benue Route

The family of Imoter Barnabas Terkaa has raised serious alarm over his sudden disappearance while travelling from Lagos to Benue State, with suspected kidnappers demanding a N30 million ransom for his release.

Terkaa, a staff member at Jason’s Lounge located along Kajola Road, Ogba, Lagos, reportedly embarked on the journey a few days ago. According to family sources, he lost contact with his wife while travelling between Otukpa and Otukpo Local Government Areas of Benue State.

A day after communication was lost, his wife received a phone call from unknown persons demanding N30 million. However, the suspected kidnappers have since gone silent and are no longer reachable, heightening fears for his safety.

The family, through the Mdzough u Tiv (MUT) Lagos State Chapter, said critical details such as the transport company or park used for the journey remain unknown, making tracing efforts difficult. They are also seeking clarification on whether the incident has been officially reported to police authorities in either Lagos or Benue State.

“We are appealing to the public for any useful information that can assist in locating him,” the group stated. “Any clue, no matter how little, could help in advancing the search and ensuring his safe return.”

The family has urged anyone with relevant information to come forward immediately as efforts to locate the missing man intensify.
