Lobi Stars Football Club’s Talent Hunt 2026 continued to produce memorable moments on Day 3 at McCarthy Stadium, with 12-year-old Sonter Kaase stealing the spotlight through an outstanding performance.
The young prodigy, wearing the number 6 jersey for Docboys FA, delivered a commanding display of tackling, vision, and ball distribution that earned him a standing ovation from fans, stakeholders, and Lobi Stars management, despite his team’s 2-1 defeat to Michaelites FA.
In the day’s other matches, Lions FA edged Mighty Stars with a late winner from Young Moses Terver, while Mindset FA defeated Gofan FA 2-0 through goals from Ernest Atim and Israel Zaka. The Michaelites versus Docboys FA encounter was the most competitive, with Shityo Kator scoring an early penalty for Michaelites, Bishop Zaka equalizing from the spot for Docboys, and Dickson Aondona securing the win for Michaelites.
At the end of the match, Sonter Kaase was personally greeted by club officials in a special mark of honour. Lobi Stars Chairman, Mr. Simon Terver Ikya, commended the young talent for his courage and determination, awarding him a study scholarship. The chairman pledged to continue developing raw talents as the club builds a strong foundation for the next generation of Lobi Stars players.
