The much-anticipated N198 billion Oweto-Otukpo road project in Benue State has stalled as the contractor is yet to mobilise equipment and personnel to the site.
The project, considered one of the critical road contracts in the state, has remained inactive despite its strategic importance for connectivity and economic activities in the region.
According to Danladi, the delay in mobilisation has continued to affect progress on this key infrastructure development.
Residents and stakeholders have expressed concern over the prolonged inaction on the project, which is expected to ease transportation challenges and boost commerce along the Oweto-Otukpo axis once completed.
Further updates are expected as efforts are made to ensure the contractor resumes work on the site.
