A young mother from Korinya-City in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State has been praised for her quick and selfless action after her little son accidentally fell into an open well within their family compound last Sunday afternoon.
The child, identified as Tomuter, fell into the well and was struggling in the water when his mother realised what had happened. Without hesitation, she jumped into the well, reached her son, and lifted him above the water to keep him from drowning.
She held him safely until neighbours arrived with a ladder and rescued both mother and child from the well. The incident has been described as a powerful demonstration of a mother’s love—selfless, fearless, and willing to risk everything to save her child.
