Idah Security Squad Apprehends Notorious Vandal During Night Patrol

The Special Hunter Squad of Idah Local Government Council, led by Muhammed Opaluwa (Rosco), has successfully apprehended a notorious vandal, Umoru Faruk Unusan, for allegedly tampering with government property. The arrest took place during a night patrol on September 20, showcasing the squad’s vigilance in maintaining community safety.

The suspect, a resident of Sabongari, was caught around 1:00 a.m. while attempting to steal cable wires from a solar streetlight along Ede Wards Street, Idah LGA. Recovered items included a bunch of wires suspected to be stolen and a torchlight used in the act. Following the arrest, the squad handed him over to the police for prosecution.

The Idah Local Government Council commended the security team’s efforts, highlighting their role in curbing vandalism. Special praise was given to Executive Chairman Alhaji Alfa Hallu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and their administration for strengthening community safety in Idah.
