Concerned Citizens of Katsina-Ala Call for Urgent Action on Benue Security Crisis

A statement issued by Hon. Comr. Shiaondo Ephraim on behalf of concerned citizens of Katsina-Ala Local Government and the Sankera APC media team has drawn attention to the worsening security situation in Benue State, describing it as one that demands urgent intervention.

The statement notes that ongoing attacks by armed groups have brought untold hardship to many communities across the state. Families have been forced to flee their ancestral homes, while numerous villages have been deserted due to insecurity. Thousands of displaced people are now living in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, hoping for peace and the opportunity to return home.

Shiaondo Ephraim respectfully called on both the Benue State Government and the Federal Government to intensify efforts to restore security, protect lives and property, and ensure that displaced persons can safely return to their ancestral communities.

He also acknowledged the efforts of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia in addressing the security challenges and encouraged the governor to continue working with security agencies and all relevant stakeholders until lasting peace is restored across the state.

The statement concluded with thoughts and prayers for all affected families, expressing the hope that peace would return to every community in Benue State.
