The Benue State Government has approved the indefinite extension of the 50% discount on selected Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC)-manufactured digital devices, citing overwhelming public demand and positive response from citizens.
The initiative, which was initially introduced as part of activities marking the Benue State @50 Golden Jubilee Celebration, has gained widespread acceptance among civil servants, students, entrepreneurs, businesses, educational institutions, and the general public seeking affordable access to quality digital technology.
Governor Rev. Dr. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia directed that the discount programme should continue until further notice, transforming it into a strategic Digital Transformation Initiative aimed at expanding access to digital tools, promoting digital literacy, supporting innovation, and empowering citizens to participate fully in the digital economy.
The Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) remains committed to delivering high-quality, locally assembled digital devices while providing the necessary infrastructure to support education, governance, enterprise development, and economic growth across the state.
Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to purchase genuine BDIC laptops, tablets, and other eligible digital devices at significantly reduced prices. Interested individuals and organisations can visit the BDIC Head Office or contact the company through its official channels for enquiries and purchase procedures.
This move reinforces the state government’s commitment to building a digitally inclusive and technology-driven Benue.
