Benue Links Nigeria Limited Reaffirms Commitment to Fleet Maintenance and Passenger Safety

Benue Links Nigeria Limited has reiterated its dedication to regular and proper maintenance of its fleet as well as the highest priority on passenger safety at all times.

The General Manager of the company, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa KSM MNIM, made this known during an appearance on the audience participatory programme *ON-THE-LINE* on Radio Benue on Saturday, June 6, 2026. He discussed fleet maintenance, passenger safety, and revenue sustainability.

Comrade Fanafa stated that under his leadership, vehicle maintenance has been elevated to a top priority, resulting in a significant reduction in vehicle breakdowns on the highways. He emphasized that passenger safety remains a core focus, noting strengthened collaboration with relevant security agencies and intensified training programmes for drivers and operational staff to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.

The General Manager appreciated the support of the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for reviving and repositioning the company. He disclosed the recent acquisition of a new coastal bus, with plans to bring in more, in addition to 35 buses already procured. This is aside from the 100 buses initially donated by the Governor.

He also announced the construction of a brand-new haulage store equipped with fire-preventive measures by the State Government to strengthen the logistics and haulage arm of the company.

Comrade Fanafa advised customers to process all waybills strictly through the Haulage Department and encouraged passengers to utilize feedback channels in the vehicles for continuous service improvement.

The development has been commended by stakeholders as a positive step towards enhancing transportation services in Benue State.
