Benue Links Nigeria Limited has issued a detailed statement addressing the death of a passenger who passed away while traveling on one of its buses, following public concerns over the incident.

According to the company’s management, initial attempts to reach the deceased’s family using the contact information provided by the passenger were unsuccessful. This prompted the company to seek public assistance through social media platforms to identify and contact the relatives.

The company announced that the family of the deceased has now been successfully located and informed of the incident. Benue Links facilitated the transportation of the remains to Korinya, the hometown of the deceased. The body has been deposited in a morgue, with all associated fees paid by the company, pending burial arrangements by the family.

Management expressed appreciation to members of the public for their concern, support, and cooperation during the process. The company also reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare, dignity, and respectful treatment of all passengers and customers.
