EFCC Makurdi Arrests 37 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Taraba State

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, operatives from the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) conducted a significant operation in Wukari, Taraba State, resulting in the arrest of 37 suspected internet fraudsters. The arrests took place behind Federal University, Wukari, following credible intelligence linking the suspects to cybercrimes.

The operation yielded the recovery of substantial evidence, including two cars, 12 laptops, and 46 phones. The suspects are set to face charges in court in the near future as the EFCC continues its efforts to combat financial and cybercrimes across the region.
