In a significant leadership transition, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially handed over its leadership to Mrs. May Agbamuche as the Acting National Chairman. The handover took place today during an ongoing meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) at the INEC headquarters in Abuja.

The transition marks the end of Professor Mahmood Yakubu’s tenure as the immediate past National Chairman.
