The Executive Chairman of Buruku Local Government Council, Hon. Raymond Zege Aondoakura, will on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, distribute motorcycles to the Buruku Local Government Traditional Council, fertilizer to farmers across the Local Government, and solar-powered lights to the Buruku Legislative Council for onward distribution and installation across the various wards. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Boulevard of the Buruku Local Government Guest House by 10:00am and forms part of his continuing commitment to strengthening traditional institutions, supporting agricultural productivity, improving rural infrastructure and deepening the dividends of responsive local governance.
The motorcycles to be presented to the Traditional Council are intended to enhance mobility and facilitate the discharge of traditional responsibilities, particularly in communities where accessibility remains a challenge. The fertilizer intervention is designed to support farmers at a critical point in the agricultural season, reinforcing the recognition of agriculture as both the backbone of household livelihoods and a vital pillar of Buruku’s economic future. Similarly, the solar-powered lights to be provided to the Buruku Legislative Council will be deployed to the various wards for installation, with the broader objective of improving visibility, supporting community activities and extending basic infrastructure beyond the administrative centre of the Local Government.
Hon. Raymond Zege Aondoakura has warmly invited the APC State Working Committee, members of the Buruku Traditional Council, the 9th Buruku Legislative Council, APC leaders and faithfuls, as well as the general public, to grace the occasion. The Chairman looks forward to welcoming all guests to what promises to be another significant moment in the administration’s journey of service to the people of Buruku.
