Gov. Alia Slashes Benue Links Fares by 50% for Persons with Disabilities

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has introduced a significant relief measure for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) by ordering a 50 percent reduction in transport fares on state-owned Benue Links Nigeria Ltd. The policy, announced over the weekend in Makurdi, takes effect immediately, aiming to enhance accessibility and support for the disabled community.

Comrade Alexander Fanafa, the General Manager of Benue Links, confirmed the directive, stating that it aligns with the governor’s recent domestication of the national Disability Act in Benue.
