The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced significant changes to its lineup of candidates for the upcoming elections in Benue State, dropping high-profile figures and substituting others in a bid to strengthen its position.
In the most notable move, the party has removed former Governor Senator Gabriel Suswam from its senatorial ticket. Suswam has been replaced by Senator Emmanuel Memga Udende. Additionally, Benjamin T. Aber has been substituted with Titus Tartenger Zam for the Benue North West senatorial seat.
The APC also conducted a review of its House of Representatives candidates, resulting in the replacement of five aspirants. Among the changes, Ikper Chris Terfa was dropped in favour of Dickson Tarkighir for the Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency. Similarly, Livinus Tsar Adzor was replaced by Sesoo Ikpagher for the Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency.
Party officials believe these latest adjustments will reshape the APC’s preparations and improve its chances in the keenly contested elections in Benue State. The changes come as political activities intensify across the state, with various parties finalizing their strategies for victory.
This development has already sparked discussions among political observers and residents, highlighting the dynamic nature of candidate selection as the polls draw closer.
