A social media post has claimed that a trader’s shop in Agasha market, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, was broken into and its contents packed away. The post, shared by a relative of the shop owner, stated that the incident occurred that morning and alleged it was carried out by people from Guma because the owner hails from Tarka Local Government Area.
According to the account, the affected woman is an innocent trader trying to feed her family and knows nothing about any misunderstanding between Guma and Tarka communities. Photographs accompanying the post showed shelves stocked with slippers, plastic basins, containers and other household items inside the shop.
