Governor Hyacinth Alia Vows to Complete All Road Projects in Igede Land

Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has vowed to complete all the road projects his administration has embarked upon in Igede land.

The Governor made the pledge on Thursday, June 11, 2026, while speaking at the funeral of the former Head of Service of Benue State, Late Chief Dr Moses Ogbogbo Ode, held at Enwele, Uwobe, Adum East, Ito in Obi Local Government Area.

Governor Alia assured the people of Benue State of his administration’s commitment to using state resources for the benefit of all citizens, rather than sharing them among a few individuals. He emphasized his resolve to deliver on the promises made to the Igede people by ensuring the completion of ongoing road projects in the area.

While eulogising the deceased, the Governor described Chief Dr Moses Ogbogbo Ode as a selfless leader who was committed to bringing development to the state. He noted that the death of the former Head of Service represents a painful loss not only to his family and the Igede nation but also to the Benue State government and the entire people of the state.

Governor Alia thanked the Igede kingdom for producing worthy and sacrificial sons and daughters who have contributed immensely to the progress of Benue State. He called on the people to continue believing in the state and the leadership they have elected.

He expressed gratitude to all those supporting his administration in various ways to bring good governance closer to the people. The Governor concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of Moses Ogbogbo Ode, asking that his memory become a blessing to all Benue people.
