A prominent Labour Party (LP) leader in Benue State, Chief Vincent Ejeh Uloko, Chairman of the Three Wards Joint Meeting in Utonkon District, has congratulated Hon. Juliana Obetta on her selection as the party’s Deputy Governorship Candidate for the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
In a statement, Chief Uloko described Obetta’s emergence as a well-deserved recognition of her years of dedicated service, exemplary leadership, and commitment to grassroots development. He highlighted her track record as former Chairman of Okpokwu Local Government Area and her contributions to community development, women empowerment, and advocacy for vulnerable groups.
Chief Uloko commended the Labour Party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Matthias Byuan, for what he called a courageous and progressive decision in selecting a capable woman with proven leadership credentials as his running mate. He noted that the choice demonstrates the party’s commitment to inclusiveness, gender equity, and the promotion of competent individuals regardless of gender.
The LP chieftain expressed confidence that Hon. Obetta’s experience as a grassroots politician would strengthen the Byuan-Obetta ticket. He urged party supporters across Benue State to rally behind the ticket in the interest of good governance and sustainable development.
