Children with special needs at the Benue State Rehabilitation School in Apir are currently without food as the school’s bank account has been frozen, raising serious concerns about their welfare.
According to a social media post by Asom D Jerry, the situation is particularly dire because the children did not attend school during the first term of the current academic session, compounding the hardship they are facing.
The post urged Governor Hyacinth Alia not to abandon these vulnerable children in the same manner it claimed he has abandoned Benue IDPs, calling for urgent government intervention to address the crisis and restore feeding at the facility.
