The Media Team of Engr. Terhemba David Nongo, the APC candidate for the Gwer East/Gwer West Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, has issued a strong rejoinder to what they described as a malicious and politically motivated article authored by Barr. Terfa Yogbo.
In the statement signed on May 28, 2026, the team dismissed Yogbo’s piece titled “The Burden of Excessive Political Ambition: A Case Study of Engr. Nongo” as shallow, bitter, and laced with envy. They defended Engr. Nongo, stating that his decision to venture into politics is driven purely by a passion to serve the Masev people and the entire Gwer East/Gwer West Federal Constituency, rather than any personal or family agenda.
The team highlighted the Nongo Nyam family’s long-standing contributions to education, moral upbringing, and national development through the Federal Public Service. They emphasized that Engr. Nongo’s wife, Mrs. Ngueren Nongo, a retired Director in the Federal Civil Service, possesses the competence to excel in any public office, while denying claims that Nongo lobbied for her or any family member’s political appointment.
The statement described the people of Masev and Ihyarev as politically conscious and fully supportive of Nongo’s candidacy, predicting his victory in the 2027 election. It urged Barr. Yogbo to focus on strengthening his legal career instead of engaging in propaganda and blackmail.
The Nongo Media Team reaffirmed that no amount of attacks can stop the movement, declaring that “with Engr. Nongo, it is truly all about the people.”
