Benue State has recorded a significant improvement in its security situation, with internally displaced persons (IDPs) reducing to fewer than 500, according to Tersoor Kula.

Speaking on TVC, Kula stated that peace has returned to the state, enabling many displaced persons to return to their ancestral homes and resume farming activities.

The development was shared on social media by Tivta Samuel Aondohemba, who highlighted the positive progress in the state.

This marks a major turnaround for Benue, which had previously faced severe security challenges leading to the displacement of thousands of residents, particularly in areas affected by herder-farmer conflicts and other forms of violence.
