PDP Gains Momentum in Logo as APC, ADC, LP Supporters Decamp Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State continued to strengthen its foothold in Zone A on Friday with a large-scale decamping ceremony in Ayilamo, Tombo, Logo Local Government Area.

The event featured the official defection of supporters from the All Progressives Congress (APC), African Democratic Congress (ADC), and Labour Party (LP) to the PDP, alongside the commissioning of a new party office donated by the Sankera House of Representatives member for Tombo Ward PDP.

Leading the delegation was Dr. Terris Damsa GMF, the PDP hopeful for the 2027 Katsina-Ala, Ukum, and Logo Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat. He was accompanied by the Benue PDP Zonal Chairman for Zone A, Hon. Abraham Waroh; the State Youth Leader, Hon. David Mzer; and the 2027 Ukum House of Assembly hopeful, Prince Tyododoo Livinus.

The ceremony attracted a large crowd of party faithful, community leaders, and residents who gathered to witness the formal integration of new members and celebrate the opening of the modern PDP office, which is expected to serve as a coordination hub for party activities in Tombo Ward ahead of future elections.

Speakers at the event emphasized unity, grassroots mobilization, and the PDP’s readiness to reclaim and consolidate power in the Sankera axis and across Benue State in the 2027 general elections. The decamping was described as a reflection of growing confidence in the PDP’s leadership and vision at both state and federal levels.
