A desperate public appeal has been launched to save the life of a young man battling severe complications from a snakebite in Daudu, Benue State, as medical authorities warn that he requires one additional vial of anti-venom costing ₦200,000 to stabilise his condition and improve his chances of survival.

According to an update shared on social media by Ukan Kurugh, the victim was bitten earlier in the day and his condition rapidly deteriorated. Initial treatment proved insufficient, with doctors at Bishop Murray Hospital in Makurdi determining that at least three vials of anti-venom were necessary due to severe internal bleeding observed across multiple parts of his body.

In a remarkable display of compassion, Pastor Moses Nyikuu rushed the young man back to the hospital and personally covered the cost of two vials, amounting to ₦400,000. Another doctor reportedly stepped in to settle registration fees and other immediate medical expenses, assuring the family that repayment could be arranged once the patient recovers. Despite these generous interventions, the medical team has stressed that the third and final vial remains urgently needed to complete the life-saving treatment protocol.

The post describes the situation as a “desperate moment,” with every passing minute critical to the young man’s survival. Without the additional anti-venom, his prognosis remains uncertain, prompting an emotional call for collective support from the public.
