Work Progresses on Welfare Quarters Road in Makurdi Under Governor Alia

Significant construction work is currently underway on the Welfare Quarters Road in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, as part of infrastructure development efforts by the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia.

Photos shared by Asortar James Asortar on social media show ongoing activities including concrete drainage channel construction, reinforcement with steel rods, and general road development work. Workers were seen actively engaged at the site, with heavy materials and equipment visible.

The project is one of several road infrastructure initiatives being undertaken across Makurdi and other parts of the state to improve connectivity and living conditions for residents.

Governor Alia’s administration has consistently highlighted road construction and rehabilitation as key priorities, with several projects already completed or at various stages of execution in the state capital.

Residents have expressed optimism that the completion of the Welfare Quarters Road will ease movement and boost economic activities in the area.
