The High-Level Underpass, a flagship infrastructure project under the Alia administration, has been nearing completion in recent months, with reports indicating it reached over 90 percent completion by mid-2025. The addition of solar lighting is expected to improve visibility, security, and aesthetics in the area, particularly at night, while aligning with the state’s broader “Light Up Makurdi” initiative that has seen widespread deployment of eco-friendly solar streetlights across major roads and neighborhoods.
