The state government also pledged to settle all outstanding arrears after the committee on verification of claims by the hospital concludes work on resolving grey areas relating to documents and outstanding entitlement records. Some of the allowances are linked to the review by the National Income, Salaries and Wages Commission, approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and made effective from July 2024. The intervention is expected to boost staff morale, strengthen healthcare service delivery, and reinforce government commitment to improving the welfare of health professionals across the state.
