Daudu Displaced Girls Receive Free Sanitary Pads and Life Skills Training in IDP Camp

Over 100 girls at the Daudu Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in Benue State benefited from a transformative outreach organized by the Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) to mark the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child. The event, themed “Empowering Girls at the IDP Camp,” went beyond material donations, focusing on equipping the girls with knowledge and confidence.

The initiative included sensitization sessions on leadership, menstrual hygiene, gender-based violence (GBV), and cancer awareness. Participants also received training in breast self-examination, cervical cancer prevention, and practical menstrual care tips, aimed at helping them maintain dignity and health even in challenging conditions.

ESLF representatives emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to empowering vulnerable girls with the tools needed to lead meaningful lives and become change agents in their communities. The event concluded with a Leadership Pledge and a joyful dance celebration, symbolizing hope and resilience—a vivid reminder that girls belong at the center of solutions, even in crisis.
