Governor Alia Announces New Appointments in Benue State Forestry Sector

In a significant move to bolster the administration’s ongoing reforms, the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has approved the appointment of two key officials to strengthen the forestry and logging sector. The appointments, announced on Monday, September 29, 2024, take immediate effect and reflect the Governor’s commitment to effective management of the state’s natural resources.

The newly appointed officials are:

1. Orkuma Adzua Ikyur, named Principal Special Assistant on Forestry and Logging.
2. Onoja Michael Audu, appointed Senior Special Assistant on Forestry and Logging.

These strategic appointments are part of Governor Alia’s broader initiative to enhance the administration’s reforms and ensure the sustainable management of the forestry and logging sector. The Governor expressed confidence in the appointees’ abilities, urging them to justify the trust placed in them by leveraging their experience and dedication in fulfilling their duties.
