Danger Looms as Fallen High Tension Pole Left Unattended in Demekpe

Residents of Demekpe have raised alarm over a high tension electric pole that has remained fallen and abandoned for two days after torrential rains, posing serious danger along Amadu Comasie Road opposite St. Augustine Catholic Church.

The pole, belonging to the Jos Electric Distribution Company (JED), collapsed during the heavy downpour, leaving live wires scattered across the road and creating a hazardous situation for pedestrians, motorists and nearby households. Community members have expressed concern that the prolonged delay in addressing the incident could lead to electrocution or further accidents if left unresolved.
