“Is Fulani a tribe in Benue State?” Yaaya asked, asserting that Fulani herders migrated from the far northern part of Nigeria and other countries, engaging in what he described as forceful settlement on people’s land, destruction of farms, killings, and displacement of residents. He framed the situation as “a clear case of invasion and forced occupancy” rather than a mutual conflict between herders and farmers.

The post highlighted perceived inconsistencies in VDM’s approach, noting that while the activist reportedly advocated for police action and arrests when a Fulani leader was killed, similar urgency appeared absent following the attacks on Otukpo communities. Yaaya expressed skepticism about the information VDM may have received from sources in Benue and described the situation as ironic.
