On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the Deputy Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Barr. Dr. Sam Ode, mni, stood in for the Executive Governor, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, at the prestigious Graduation Ceremony of Air War Course 11 participants at the Air Force War College in Makurdi, Nigeria.
Dr. Sam Ode was accompanied by a notable delegation, including the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Barr. Moses Atagher; Deputy Chief of Staff, Barr. Musa Suleiman; Director General of the Benue State Homeland Security, Air Commodore Jacob Gbamwuam; and Benue State APC Chairman, Chief Benjamin Omale, among other government officials. Their presence underscored the state government’s commitment to supporting military training and development.
The ceremony highlighted the successful completion of the rigorous Air War Course 11, with participants receiving accolades for their dedication and skill. The event featured speeches, the presentation of certificates, and a showcase of the graduates’ achievements, marking a significant milestone in their military careers.
Governor Alia, represented by Deputy Governor Ode, commended the graduates for their hard work and emphasized the importance of their training in enhancing the security architecture of Benue State and Nigeria at large. The occasion also served as a platform to strengthen the collaboration between the state government and the Nigerian Air Force.
