Benue APC Rejects Petition by Oche Hyacinth, Describes Allegations as False and Malicious

The Benue State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly rejected a public petition circulated by Mr. Oche Hyacinth against the State Chairman, Chief Dr. Benjamin Omale.

In a press statement issued on Friday, June 19, 2026, and signed by State Publicity Secretary Benedict Yawe, the party described the allegations of abuse of office, financial impropriety, constitutional violations, and anti-party conduct as false, malicious, misleading, and politically motivated.

The APC clarified that all major decisions of the State Chapter are products of collective deliberation in line with the party’s constitution. It emphasized that party primaries were conducted by committees sent from the National Secretariat in accordance with approved guidelines and electoral laws.

The party maintained that its financial operations are governed by relevant articles of the APC Constitution and are subject to accountability and audit. It noted that no credible evidence has been presented to support the claims made by Mr. Oche Hyacinth.

The statement further affirmed that Chief Dr. Benjamin Omale has worked closely with Governor Hyacinth Alia and other stakeholders to strengthen party unity and support good governance in the state. It urged all members, supporters, and stakeholders to disregard the petition and remain focused on party unity and victory in the 2027 general elections.

The Benue APC advised aggrieved members to utilise the party’s internal dispute resolution mechanisms rather than resorting to public actions that could cause disunity.
