Senate Holds Public Hearing for Federal College of Vocational and Technical Skills in Benue

The Nigerian Senate conducted a public hearing today, October 22, 2025, for a bill to establish the Federal College of Vocational and Technical Skills Naka in Benue State. The hearing, held at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, saw the bill’s sponsor, Senator representing Benue North-West Senatorial District, Dr. Titus Tartenger Zam, represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Barr. Emmanuel Hundu.

During the session, Hundu explained that the senator’s decision to sponsor the bill was driven by a deliberate effort to improve and enhance the educational status of his constituents. He emphasized that the importance of the institution to the constituency cannot be overstated, appreciating the Senate Committee on Education for advancing the bill and related legislation through critical legislative phases.
