Cyclist Real-Emmiwuks continues to inspire with his relentless journey across Africa, undeterred by challenging weather and rugged terrain. In a recent update posted on Facebook, the adventurer shared his experience at Soumba Bridge, a key milestone on his route from Guinea to Guinea-Bissau.
Despite heavy rain, Emmiwuks remains steadfast, describing the downpour as “nature’s applause,” cheering him on. The cyclist, who is on Day 101 of his “NIG2USA” bicycle expedition, posted a series of photos showcasing his progress. The images capture him posing with his bike under the “Pont Soumba sur la RN3” sign, a symbol of the Guinea-Japanese cooperation, as well as scenic views of the surrounding landscape.
In a heartfelt message, Emmiwuks expressed gratitude to his supporters, stating, “Thank you all for riding with me. Together we ride. Together we rise. VIVA AFRICA.” He highlighted the physical and emotional challenges of the journey, noting, “Every kilometer tests my strength, my faith, and my purpose. It’s not about how smooth the path is, it’s about the courage to keep moving even when the journey gets heavy.”
The cyclist’s determination was further showcased in a second post from later the same day, detailing his progress toward Guinea-Bissau. Accompanied by photos of rocky landscapes and winding roads, Emmiwuks wrote, “Every drop of sweat is a story. Every push of the pedal is a victory. This is more than a ride, it’s a mission, a calling, a journey powered by grace.”
