BIPC Introduces New Security Features to Combat Counterfeit Bread

The Management of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has issued a public alert regarding the circulation of counterfeit versions of its bread products in the market. To safeguard consumers and ensure product integrity, BIPC has rolled out enhanced security features on its bread wrappers.

The company has introduced two key security features:
1. Barcode Security Feature: Each wrapper now includes a 13-digit serial number that can be scanned to verify authenticity.
2. Positive and Negative Sign Marks: Clearly displayed on the top right edge of the wrappers, these marks help distinguish genuine BIPC bread from counterfeit imitations.
