A social media post circulating among residents of the Igede area has drawn attention to an alleged personal and political dispute involving local youth figures. The post, shared by a page identified as Igede Firsts, claims that Comrade Ijale Timothy was seen collecting a sum of ₦1,000 from Ikong Cyril Ijebe, described in the post as his “arch enemy.”
According to the post, Victor Brown Agwu II was present during the alleged exchange and is said to have witnessed the transaction. The writer linked the incident to lingering tension stemming from an earlier accusation that Cyril had been involved in the removal of a point man as president of the Uwokwu youths.
The author of the post stated that although not from the Oju II Uwokwu State Constituency, he admired the community’s efforts toward ensuring a peaceful election process. He further claimed that he had faced hostility for publicly criticising individuals he accused of undermining the future of the younger generation.
In the same post, the writer alleged that some people were attempting to harm him both spiritually and physically, adding that such efforts would only succeed if he accepted money or gifts intended to target others. He concluded by saying he was waiting for any such actions while continuing to speak out, and issued a warning directed at those he described as “enemies of the Igede nation.”
