Three More Bodies Recovered After Efeyi-Ugboju Attack in Benue

Three more bodies have been recovered from the bush near Efeyi-Ugboju in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, a day after the deadly attack on the community.

According to reports circulating on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, the victims were ambushed as the attackers retreated. Their bodies were found this morning along bush paths around the area.

The deceased have been named as Chinedu Ameh, 50, and Abogonye Ameh, 53, both from Emichi, and Emmanuel Adidu, 45, from Nwaba Oju.

The three men were described as ordinary residents and breadwinners who were not involved in any confrontation. Their deaths bring additional grief to the communities already mourning the earlier killings in Efeyi-Ugboju, where multiple people lost their lives in the Tuesday attack.

Families of the latest victims woke to the news of the discoveries and have begun funeral preparations.
