Uta to Begin Immediate Construction of Church Auditorium in Kyume, Kwande

The Executive Secretary of the Benue State Bureau for Mines and Solid Minerals, Hon. Uta Stephen Aondona, has pledged to construct a befitting church auditorium for St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Kyume, in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State.

Hon. Uta made the pledge on Sunday, July 26, 2026, during a worship service at the church, where he observed the poor condition of the existing structure. He assured the congregation that construction of the new worship centre would commence within the week to provide a more conducive environment for worship and fellowship.

He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, to the development of Christianity and infrastructure across the state, expressing optimism that the project would strengthen the faith community and improve worship facilities in the area.

The church leaders and members of the congregation received the announcement with joy and expressed gratitude to Hon. Uta for the intervention. They offered prayers for God’s blessings upon him and pledged their support and cooperation towards the successful completion of the project.
