Benue APC Mourns Passing of Mama Roseline Abayol, Mother of Assembly Candidate Peter Abayol

The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has mourned the passing of Mama Mbamaan Roseline Abayol, mother of the party’s House of Assembly candidate for Mbagwa State Constituency, Hon. Peter Abayol.

The funeral took place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at RCM Primary School, Anayol, in Mbavyende, Mbaawe Council Ward of Ushongo Local Government Area. Mourners, including government officials, party leaders, and community members, gathered to pay their last respects.

Governor Hyacinth Alia was represented by his Chief Press Secretary, Hon. Tersoo Kula, who conveyed the governor’s condolences and prayed for God’s comfort on the family. Former Governor and Senator Gabriel Suswam was represented by Dr. Paul Orhii, who described the deceased as a woman dedicated to family values and community service.

Other dignitaries in attendance included Hon. Simon Gabo, Member representing Mata State Constituency and Deputy Majority Chief Whip of the Benue State House of Assembly; Prof. Kohol Iornem, APC candidate for Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency; Hon. Benedict Yawe, Benue APC State Publicity Secretary, and several party stakeholders.
