Hon. Stephen Numbeve, the Benue State Coordinator of B-RAAMP, is personally supervising the ongoing construction of two major bridges along the JS Tarka University road in Makurdi, the state capital.
The project comes as a swift response following the recent collapse of two important culverts on the popular Uni Agric road. The new bridges are expected to restore and improve connectivity in the area.
Describing the development as a demonstration of “quick government response to emergencies,” the initiative has been welcomed by many residents as a positive step towards addressing infrastructure challenges in the region.
Photographs from the site show active construction work in progress, with steel reinforcements, formwork, and site personnel visible. The development is being carried out under the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia.
